Acer Releases Iconia Tab A200 (Android)

Few hours ago Acer released their latest Android powered Tablet named Iconia Tab A200. Although Android 4.0 is already out yet, as usual the OEMs do take their time for releasing new updates to their devices/users. This is also the case with A200 because it comes pre-installed with the now "old" Android Honeycomb (3.2) but the version 4.0 should arrive pretty soon as well.

The 10.1 inch display comes with a native resolution of 1280 x 800, powered by Nvidia Tegra Dual-core processor (1GHZ), 1GB or RAM and you can choose between either 8GB or 16GB of eMMC ROM for storage.

Below are some of the main hardware details in brief...

*. Processor: Nvidia Tegra 1GHZ dual-core.

*. RAM: 1 GB (although not entirely sure whether it's DDR2 or 3).

*. ROM Storage: 8 or 16GB and a separate MicroSD slot.

*. OS: Android 3.2 (as said, users should receive the latest 4.0 update pretty soon).

*. Display: 10.1″ inches with WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution (with multi touch gestures of course).

*. Wireless Networks: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS.

*. Audio output: 3.5 mm standard audio jack.

*. Front camera: 2MP (not the best in the business but decent).

*. Standby time: 400 hours.

*. Battery: 3260mAh Li-ion.

*. Weight: 720g.

Anyhow, when considering the hardware and other aspects plus according to Acer them selves this is not a high end product but more likely a affordable Tablet. Concerning software: it has Cloud Note, Macfee, Netflix and Google Music (Cloud music service form Google), etc are also included in the OS as well.

It may be a bit cheap looking Tablet and it's certainly too early to tell whether it's gonna be a success or not, yet when considering the look-n-feel and the awesome looking Android OS, heck it does look promising nonetheless!.

As they say "A picture is worth a thousand words"... So here goes a little video that shows our all new and cool looking little "precious" ;-).  Enjoy!
