LG to launch 4K OLED TV in 2013

G is apparently planning to out an OLED telly with Ultra-HD resolution (also known as UHD, Quad HD, 4K) sometime in 2013

This TV will have a resolution of 3640 x 2160 pixels, which is four times Full HD! LG is also reported to be working on a very large sized OLED display (although no exact sizes have been given), as well as a curved OLED screen.

NEC introduces a new pair of WUXGA 24” LED displays

NEC Japan jas just introduce with it’s new pair of 24” WUXGA TN LED LCDs with the MultiSync LCD-EA243WM and MultiSync LCD-EA243WM-BK. One is White and another one is Black version. 

This two features with 20 to 46W power consumption, sport a 25,000:1 contrast ratio, 250cd/m2 brightness, HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D, mini-D-SUB and USB connectivity and lot more new facilities.

LG releases DX2500 monitor with glasses-free 3D

LG has recently unveiled their DX2500 series glasses free 3D monitor in South Korea. Customers will be able to choose from either a 20” monitor or a 24” monitor although apart from its size, they both appear to have the same technology built into them which is the parallax barrier 3D technology which is supposedly good enough for the company to earn TÜV Rheinland certification.

Managing to produce a 25 inch glasses free TV that can be sold to consumers is something new, especially for a comparatively low price of $1,131.00. While other manufacturers have managed to make 20 inch glasses-free 3DTV’s, their prices are generally in the $10’s of thousands.

The DX2500 also features a webcam built into the frame, allowing for fancy tricks like head and face tracking, both of which can create a compelling 3D effect even without a 3D screen. Coupling these features with a glasses free 3D screen means that the monitor can look like you are looking out of a window, rather than staring at an odd static statue that creepily follows your every move.
