Samsung Sliding PC 7 Overview

Samsung’s first sliding tablet-laptop hybrid gives you the option of either the 10.1-inch multitouch screen or a regular keyboard, so you can use the former for web surfing, the latter for emails. Windows 7 is on board, and it’ll be available with 32 or 64GB of flash memory. Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom Oak Trail processor gives it more grunt than the iPad.

The Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series features a 10.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel touchscreen display and a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom Z670 Oak Trail processor. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium and scomes with 2GB of RAM, a 32GB solid state disk, and a 3 cell battery.

The computer measures 10.5″ x 7″ x 0.8″ and weighs 2.2 pounds. At launch, Samsung said the 7 Series should be available in March for about $699 and up, so while most of the stores with product pages say the computer is out of stock, we might not have to wait long for it to start shipping.
