Storage developer Seagate has added a new monster to its desktop hard drive offerings: a new edition of its GoFlex Desk external hard drive with a whopping 4 TB capacity. Seagate claims the 4 TB of storage is the highest in the industry.
Also, there is an option to use the device with GoFlex home adapter while using it as a network drive. Compliant with both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 interfaces with the aid of its adapter, the illuminated gauge of the device displays free space on the drive. Besides offering backup utilizing the pre-loaded software, it automatically encrypts all files stored in it.
The GoFlex Desk is retailing for $250 on Seagate's website and comes with a two year warranty.
