Lytro Announce First Light Field Camera


Ready for the world’s first light field camera — you know, the spiffy kind that can infinitely focus?



Lytro, the Mountain View startup that introduced a prototype in June, unveiled its first camera this week. Also called Lytro, the device allows users to create "living pictures" that can be refocused after they are shot
This is a Lytro light field camera, and its anodized aluminum and silicone skin hides an engineering feat — a proprietary sensor that the firm claims can capture 11 million rays of light instantly. That's paired to an 8x zoom lens
