AMD started its journey in graphic field by introducing Evergreen GPUs Radeon HD 5000 Series. It then launched its Northern Island GPUs Radeon HD 6000 Series after few years. Now recently AMD is introducing its Southern Island GPUs, AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series graphic card. Some close sources of AMD claimed that, AMD is planning for its next generation GPUs, Sea Island.

Although no details are revealed about the upcoming GPU except its code name, it is however expected to work on- New TSMC 28nm process
