PS3 firmware update 3.70

It has been officially announced by Sony now, that the new system software update version 3.70 for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) console is coming soon.

Thе 190MB download іѕ available frοm today аnd аlѕο brings wіth іt two features thаt users having bееn сrуіng out fοr, according tο Sony: automatic syncing οf trophies аnd automatically saving games tο online storage.

New features

The new 3D features include support for MPO (Multi-Picture format) files – essentially 3D images – and 3D playback of Blu-ray Java content.
The TV section has also been given an overhaul and has now been called TV/Video Services. This is where you can find all the streaming content that's available to you in your country – so for the UK, it will be iPlayer and the like.
And the final addition is a recommendation feature. This can be used to message your PS3 cohorts about new games or content that they may find of interest.
